It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the founder and president of Silver Dollar Foundation, Adam L. Steinberg. Please note that there may be a delay in replies to inquiries and proposals during this time.
Academic Perseverance: The Silver Dollar Foundation will accept proposals for the 2018/19 school year in the winter of 2018, with a deadline for proposals of February 28, 2018. Granting decisions will be made and communicated in April 2018. New in 2018: Organizations that have received support from the Foundation for at least 2 consecutive years may submit requests for multi-year funding.
Capital projects: The Silver Dollar Foundation receives proposals throughout the year, with no deadline for applications.
For both capital projects and academic perseverance projects, eligible organizations are invited to submit a letter of inquiry with the following information:

– Rationale for the proposed project, desired outcomes and activities to be undertaken
– Detail on the support sought from the Silver Dollar Foundation
– Information on other sources of confirmed funding
– Contact information
– Charitable registration number
Please note that support from the Foundation may in some cases be spread over a number of years.
Letters of inquiry and supporting documents (Annual Report, audited financial statements, etc.) should be sent to:
